Song Hye-kyo, Go Hyun-jung offered movie about comfort women

Seems like her upcoming wedding with Song Joong-ki is not stopping Song Hye-kyo (Descendants from the Sun) from potentially accepting acting projects with the latest news now saying that she’s considering to be part of the new film, Go Back Home with fellow veteran actress Go Hyun-jung (Dear My Friends).

The film is set during the Japanese occupation and tells the story of comfort women who were recruited under false promises of work or education, and forced into sexual slavery and stationed in brothels to serve the Japanese Imperial army. If they sign on, Song Hye-kyo and Go Hyun-jung will be playing sisters, and no more details have been disclosed about their roles. Since it’s about the comfort women, it’s hard to imagine that this won’t contain nudity and looking at the works of both actresses, they haven’t done anything that daring. Well, maybe the supporting characters will handle those sensitive parts, and the two will take of the dramatic narrative more.

Go Back Home is still in the planning stages and is set to be shown next year.
