Yoo Seung-ho (Ruler: Master of the Mask) will have an early TV comeback as he accepts MBC’s offer to play the lead role in their android romance, I’m Not a Robot.
The actor will play the lead male character Kim Min-Kyu, who is the head of Korea’s biggest financial company but lives an isolated life because of his uncommon allergy to other people. Yoo Seung-ho will join Uhm Ki-joon (Defendant), who earlier accepted the role of a robotics professor. The series has also cast Hwang Seung-un (Man Who Dies to Live) as the second female lead and the main character’s first love.
Meanwhile, Chae Soo-bin (Strongest Deliveryman) is still considering the offer to play the female lead role.
I’m Not a Robot will be directed by PD Jung Dae-Yoon, whose previous works includes hit dramas, W: Two Worlds and She Was Pretty. The android rom-com’s airing was pushed back to November. It will take the Wednesday and Thursday time slot, currently occupied by Hospital Ship.
