HAPPY DAY
My wishes for our couples have been granted! First, I’m very much satisfied with the skinship shown between Choi Kang-soo (Go Kyung-pyo) and Lee Dan-ah (Chae Soo-bin) in this episode. Our main OTP made sure to give us sweet kisses with every chance they get. And I will never complain about it! I also love how Dan-ah’s D-Day countdown was changed to a “Happy Day” counter. It might be a small detail but it definitely signifies a lot.
The same thing goes for our second OTP, Oh Jin-gyu (Kim Seon-ho) and Lee Ji-yoon (Ko Won-hee). Jin-gyu finally opened his heart fully to Ji-yoon. I was giggling so hard when they shared their first kiss because it was so tender and sweet until Ji-yoon stopped Jin-gyu in the middle of it to tell him she forgot to brush her teeth. GIRL!?! What a major mood spoiler, jinja.
I’m also happy that Joker Ahjumma Soon-ae (Lee Min-young) seems to soften her stance on Master Cook Jang Dong-soo (Jo Hee-bong). We learned in this episode what exactly was their relationship, and why is Joker Ahjumma always treating Master Cook Jang coldly. It was revealed that in the past, Master Cook Jang and his gang of thugs actually planned to kidnap Joker Ahjumma, who was from an affluent family. But Master Cook Jang decided not to after seeing Soon-ae trembling in fear. After that, they met each other in secret until Joker Ahjumma asked Master Cook Jang to run away with her, but the latter’s hesitation caused him that chance. But now, they can finally start a new life together, and I couldn’t be any happier for them.
Lastly, it’s nice to see Min-chan (Heo Ji-won) making bolder actions to approach Choi Yeon-ji (Nam Ji-hyun). Good job, Min-chan-sshi! Who knows? Yeon-ji might just be waiting for you to come to her.
BIG TROUBLE
It’s not only Kang-soo’s love life that is doing great; Strongest Deliveryman is also on a roll! The team won a huge food delivery contract and their partner restaurants are also booming. These developments meant a negative thing for the Jung family restaurant, and Ji-yoon omma wasn’t very happy about it. Though she’s very ambitious and greedy, I never thought that she could stoop so low just for the sake of beating their strongest competitor. She ordered her minions to sabotage Strongest Deliveryman by causing a food origin scandal in one of its partner restaurants. She also blackmailed Kang-soo’s closest friend Sung-jae that forced him to become a “traitor” and work for the Jung family restaurant’s newly launched delivery app. The food origin issue greatly affected the Restaurant Row’s business sales, and also cost Strongest Deliveryman the huge food delivery contract that they’ve just won.
I’m so disappointed by how quickly the restaurant owners accused Kang-soo of fooling them. Aish, if I could only go inside my laptop screen during that moment, I would in a heartbeat to give each of those thick-faced restaurant owners a good beating. I can’t believe that they would easily point their fingers at Kang-soo after all the help he gave them.
With everything seems to be going down, Kang-soo decided to just disappear, leaving Dan-ah in tears. Awww. But I’m sure everything will be alright in the last episode so make sure to join me in my final K-Drama Reaction for Strongest Deliveryman! See you!
