Jinja, I feel like my head is going to burst with info overload! It’s not only once that I replayed scenes in this episode because I was trying so hard to understand them and connect the dots. Argh, what trouble did I get myself into? ㅋㅋㅋ
WHAT WERE YOU UP TO?
I was a bit disappointed with the reasoning as to why Kang Ha-ram (Go Ara) didn’t see any shadow inside Black’s (Song Seung-hun) body. So, it’s only because Black was wearing a black suit? Yes, it makes sense, just like how Ha-ram uses sunglasses to avoid seeing these scary shadows, but!!! During episode 2, Black was only wearing a hospital gown, which is clearly not black, then why Ha-ram didn’t see anything?!
Another thing is Black’s name. So, 444 is actually his real name, and he was only called Black because he resembles Joe Black (yep, that’s Brad Pitt’s character in a movie)? Seriously?! ㅋㅋㅋ
We’ve now also confirmed that someone really wants Moo-gang dead after the commando who shot him during the hostage drama admitted this to Black. Plus, the man who tried to inject some liquid into Moo-gang’s IV reappeared, and he almost succeeded in fulfilling his mission this time. Who is he? Who’s the person ordering him to do this?
The photos and the video tape at Moo-gang’s basement sealed my theory that he’s investigating a decades-old case involving Kim Sun-young a.k.a. Yoon Soo-wan (Lee El). Maybe, Moo-gang witnessed something when he was a kid basing on a dream Black had where we saw a young Moo-gang and another boy fleeing from the mental hospital patient. And I believe that it’s the reason why there’s someone after Moo-gang, a situation that puts Black’s mission in peril because he cannot use Moo-gang’s body if he dies again. Complicated, I know!
LIKE A GLUE
Now that Black is aware of Ha-ram’s death-seeing ability, he wants her to stick to him like a glue. Like I said in my previous K-Drama Reaction, I didn’t like the way he used Ha-ram’s feelings to get what he wants. I also hate how short-tempered he is, so I think that he’s very much deserving of the powerful kick he got from Ha-ram on his *bleep*! ㅋㅋㅋ
I understand Ha-ram’s hesitation to accept Black’s proposal. If I were her, I’d also be super guilty of what happened to him. I mean, the thought of my first love almost dying because of me is truly haunting. But I wasn’t also surprised when Ha-ram changed her mind because of her desire to save a young boy she just met. That’s her nature.
Is it just me who feels like Oh Man-soo’s (Kang Dong-gun) complicated family is a bit out of place in this drama? Four episodes in but I barely see any significant development on his character. I can also say that the direction he is heading as the potential third party in Ha-ram and Black’s love affair is very predictable. I mean, he initially wasn’t attracted to Ha-ram but upon realizing how the two of them are very similar when it comes to being lonely, he started to see her in a different light though he’s not yet aware of it. Nevertheless, I’m still positive that his character will eventually pick up.
So, what do you think of this week’s episodes? I want to hear your theories, comment below!
