K-Drama Reaction: Revolutionary Love | Episode 11

This episode is a bit slow, but since we are blessed with more Gong Myung screen time on this one, I am not complaining.

Hyuk’s mom vs Joon’s mom

I was laughing hard during this scene! Hyuk’s (Siwon) elite yet hilarious mom visits Joon (Kang So-ra) at the rooftop apartment, but things went unplanned (she was drenched with mud-water because of a speeding motorcycle) and she incidentally met Joon’s mother who was making kimchi at the roof deck. Joon’s mom mistook her as Je-hoon’s mother and called Hyuk a bed bug clinging onto Je-hoon! I almost fainted trying to mentally stop Joon’s mom from talking!

A place where “you” can win

So as we all know from last week’s cliffhanger, Kim Ki-sub ahjussi (Seo Hyun-chul) returns to the corporate world after retiring for five years, thanks to Hyuk’s wish card from his father. Now, the ball is on Kim ahjussi to prove himself to everyone that he still got the skills. Je-hoon knows this so well, and he gave Kim ahjussi the important task of drafting a proposal for school children lunch boxes.

I liked how this turned out! And I loved Hyuk’s persistence in getting Kim ahjussi re-hired as part of the strategic planning team. When he told Je-hoon that he wants to imagine a world where ordinary people like Joon can win, I can’t help but hope for it in this drama, too.

Police officer Cheol-min and the fate of Gangsu Foods

We encountered some foreshadowing on the future of Gangsu Foods in this episode after police officer T-1000 Jang Cheol-min (Kang Young-seok) revealed that he is now working for the financial crimes department. So, is that why he moved in at the loft? He spies on the Gangsu peeps living there to get first dibs on possible illegal practices committed by the company? We knew something was up the moment shady CEO Min (Song Young-kyu) re-appear in this episode. And I expect more company drama until we reach the last few episodes.

And in another episode of “How Much I Hate My Brother,” Hyuk was apparently set up by Section Chief Yang and CEO Min to appear as if he was taking bribes! Of course, who else would be the mastermind?

Second lead in action

Finally, we get some Joon and Je-hoon moments in this hour! As much as I love our main couple and the not-so-bromance relationship between Hyuk and Je-hoon, I can’t help but feel giddy when I saw Je-hoon smile for the first time in the entire duration of the drama!!! Yeorobun, we finally saw Je-hooni smile after 11 hours!!!! How fulfilling is that?
