K-Drama Reaction: Revolutionary Love | Episode 13

So this is almost the prelude to the great face-off between Hyuk (Siwon) and Woo-sung (Lee Jae-yeon). Some revelations about the company are also out, and I now understand what Chairman Byun meant by fighting equates to changing the company. As much as Hyuk refuses to fight against his own father and brother, he has to do it if he is really determined to change the way things are with Gangsu Group. He knows that he will get hurt and he might see his family members get jailed too, but that’s the consequence of greed.

Joon’s Dream

What I like about this episode was how Joon (Kang So-ra) still remained to true to her roots despite being confused about what her dreams would be. It’s not that I want her to be a part-timer all her life, but the reality is that she still got bills to pay; and just because she is at a confused state in her life does not mean she can afford to lose ALL her jobs and wander around finding her life’s purpose. She can surf the interwebz looking for inspiration all she wants, but at the end of the day, she still has to go to work.

Speaking of part-time work, how innocent can our boys get when it comes to women? LOL. I knew Joon would NEVER do something undignified, and I was honestly a bit disappointed that Hyuk and Je-hoon (Gong Myung) thought otherwise. Just because you saw your girl wearing heavy make-up and skimpy clothes, does that mean she will do something sexually charged?

My friend, Mon ami, Watashi no tomodachi

The bromance came in a little bit too late as we are now heading to the last two weeks of the drama. But I understand them. Je-hoon spent half of his life hating on Hyuk because of ~that~ incident (can we get the full backstory for it now?) and he was really shaken by the fact that Hyuk only took the blame for Woo-sung. Now that the egg is out of the basket, I expect this duo to have a more solid team-up especially now that they plan to launch a war against Gangsu Group.

GRUMPY ALLEY

I swear Cheol-min (Kang Young-seok) is getting cuter and cuter as the day goes by! I now get it why he moved to the loft – to dig deeper into BS. And where on earth is the best place to investigate on this multi-million fraud? Straight from the core itself! He was spying on Je-hoon and Hyuk all this time, but his heart was caught by someone else. Now tell me you can’t balance love and career at the same time! I’ll slap you with Yeon-hee’s (Kim Ye-won) drunk face. Hehe

IS JOON SHAKEN BY JE-HOON’S ADMISSION? Does she like Je-hoon until this day?? So that’s why Je-hoon rejected Joon in college… he wanted to be assured that he can take care of the girl he likes. Well, young man, the truth is you can accept the love of the girl you liked while proving your self-worth. Yep, you can do both at the same time. I’m still disappointed in ya, Je-hoon-ssi.
