Up-and-coming actors Kim Jung-hyun (School 2017), Lee Yi-kyung (Go Back Spouses), and Son Seung-won (Age of Youth) have all been confirmed to star in JTBC’s latest youth series Woohoo Waikiki (aka Eulachacha Waikiki).
The comedy drama revolves around the lives of the three young males who run a guesthouse named “Waikiki” in Itaewon, where a single mother and a baby will mysteriously enter their lives. Kim Jung-hyun headlines the lead cast as Kang Dong-gu, an aspiring movie director whose personal misfortunes made him into a cynical bookworm.
Lee Yi-kyung will portray Chun Joon-ki, a troublemaker son of an A-list celebrity, while Son Seung-won will be Bong Doo-shik, a freelancer who goes to Seoul to be a screenwriter, but ends up as a ghostwriter.
Ryu Hwa-young (Mad Dog) is also currently considering an offer to portray the lead female character in the drama. PD Lee Chang-min (Man to Man, Remember–Son’s War) and writer Kim Ki-ho (Modern Farmer) will lead the production team.
Woohoo Waikiki is set to follow Just Between Lovers on Mondays and Tuesdays in February 2018.
