Actress Go Sung-hee (While You Were Sleeping) has been offered to star as the female lead in the upcoming Korean version of Suits, which already booked Jang Dong-gun (VIP, A Gentleman’s Dignity) and Park Hyung-sik (Strong Woman Do Bong-soon) to headline.
Based on the American television series by Aaron Korsh, this legal drama revolves around a legendary lawyer who takes a younger legal genius under his wing. The series is currently on its seventh season.
Park Hung-sik will become K-drama’s Mike Ross, a college dropout with sharp legal intelligence while Jang Dong-gun will be the Korean version of Harvey Specter, a corporate lawyer who hires him at his firm despite knowing he doesn’t have a law degree.
Reports stated that Go Sung-hee’s agency Saram Entertainment recently confirmed that the actress is considering the offer positively. If she signs on, she will be playing the role of a chief legal assistant at the Kang & Ham law firm, and suffers from inferiority complex.
Suits will air on KBS as a Wednesday-Thursday drama with a premiere scheduled in April this year.
