K-Drama Reaction: Laughter in Waikiki

Our boys spent this episode feeling different stages of love… and I couldn’t be happier to see them feel this experience. We still have those moments of hilarity, but I guess the show is toning down a little bit to make way for the main plot, or maybe not?

Cherry, the first love

Du-shik (Son Seung-won) got busted by Jun-ki (Lee Yi-kyung) in this episode! Desperate to get money to pay back their overdue house bills, Jun-ki is “forced” to audition as the male lead for an erotic movie! Hahahaha. And it’s not just another erotica, it’s Du-shik’s film!!!

So our struggling writer also met with his first love in this episode, and it’s none other than the female lead of his own movie. What are the odds, right? So now, Du-shik is torn between seeing Jun-ki and his first love Mal-geum/Cherry (Han Bo-bae) act together, or let go of it and think of it as a part of work.

I was so proud of Du-shik when he stood up for Cherry! That drunk asshat deserved that cake slap!!!

Karma is real

I hate Soo-ah (Lee Joo-woo) so much! My gosh, her sense of entitlement is so high I can’t even take it! Seo-jin (Go Won-hee) was right. She had the nerve to go to Dong-gu (Kim Jung-hyun) after dumping him!

I know I should feel bad about her being swindled by her new boyfriend, but when I saw got duped so easily by that fake buyer, I knew she was stupid!

Don’t even mention how she acted at the guesthouse, bossing Dong-gu around! What a shameless bitch.

Father and son

As always, Jun-ki is so extra with everything he does. I knew this was a petty bet that got Jun-ki all riled up, but I was surprised after realizing that Dong-gu would do it!!!! 아버지!

Back to the future

Speaking of extra, I love the “Back To The Future” scoring in this episode!!! Jun-ki was so engrossed in his non-existent theory about knowing the probability of liking someone by computing the compatibility of their names. LOL! I knew a different version of this game, and believe me, once you know the mechanics, you’ll never stop computing the names of everyone.
