K-Drama Reaction: Laughter in Waikiki | Episode 9

This show just keeps getting better. The dramas are giving us legit cry fest all week and it’s just so refreshing to watch Laughter in Waikiki. I’ve develop this habit of watching all the heavier dramas and then finish off with an episode of Waikiki to keep my emotional balance.

Waikiki 9 (8)

Dong-gu’s love

Dong-gu (Kim Jung-hyun) falls deeper into the dungeon of love before he even realizes it. I just hope he would start to accept Yoon-ah’s (Jung In-sun) situation as it is. We have already seen him care for Yoon-ah and Sol in the previous episodes – the street selling, grocery shopping, fire incident, Sol’s 100th day celebration, among others.

Waikiki 9 (7)

Dong-gu-ya, you can protect Yoon-ah and Sol, hmm! Just don’t feed the baby ham and abalone when she can’t even take solid food yet!

Waikiki 9 (6)

Du-shik’s love

Du-shik’s (Son Seung-won) effort to pay off Mal-geum’s breach of contract was getting overboard. First, he return to the construction site for a part-time work.

Then, he forced himself to undergo a clinical trial for a cold medicine! Only to be left behind by the girl he likes!

Don’t get me wrong, I like Du-shik so much, but up until Mal-geum left, he never really told her about his feelings. Like what’s the point of doing heavy labor or injecting your body with needles when you can’t even tell her you like her before she left?

Waikiki 9 (9)

Jun-ki’s love (?)

Lee Jun-ki (Lee Yi-kyung) is that kind of guy who can annoy the hell out of you, but at the same time, can make your knees wobble by doing something extraordinarily thoughtful!

While Jun-ki was helping Seo-jin (Go Won-hee) fix their stove, he accidentally got his right eyebrow burnt, and again became the punchline of jokes inside the guesthouse

Waikiki 9 (5)

But even though he gave Seo-jin a hard time in her job interview after that, he sure knows how to make up for his prank, and did everything for Seo-jin to make it to her second interview!!! Sweet guy, you are!

GRUMPY ALLEY

These two are just the worst team-up ever! Whenever they stick together, something is sure to go wrong! Hahahaha

Waikiki 9 (6)

I was so happy to see Du-shik and Dong-gu share more screen time together. Not that I am tired of seeing Du-shik and Wolvie together, but it’s just a breath of fresh air to see Dong-gu not spending time getting love struck.

Sol is just the most adorable baby in K-dramaland!

This is so relatable AF, Soo-ah (Lee Joo-woo).

This is me every night when I remove my make-up:

OMO, this cutie chef is up to challenge our hero’s love!
