The mistresses are complete! Han Ga-in, Shin Hyun-been, Choi Hee-seo, and Goo Jae-yi have been confirmed as the leads of OCN’s upcoming drama adaptation of the BBC mystery thriller Mistresses. The Korean remake has a working title Mistress.
Mistress explores the lives of four women – a cafe owner, psychiatrist, teacher, and law firm secretary – who all face different secrets and complicated relationships.
The remake also marks Han Ga-in’s drama comeback after six years. She leads the main cast as Jang Se-yeon, a widow who lives with her daughter after her husband died in an accident.
Shin Hyun-been plays the role of psychiatrist Kim Eun-soo, who is being suspected for the death of her ex-boyfriend. Choi Hee-seo will portray the high school teacher Han Jung-won, a wife of a famous chef who feels stressed with her pregnancy issues.
Goo Jae-yi will appear as Do Hwa-young, an ambitious law firm secretary. She helps the wife of an ex-boyfriend who asks for help in finding evidence of her husband’s infidelity.
Mistress will be directed by Han Ji-seung (Alone in Love, Valid Love) and written by Go Jung-woon and Kim Jin-wook (Diary of June, Time Renegades).
The drama will succeed Children of the Lesser God on OCN.
