BLINDED BY LOVE
I’m taking back what I said that Lee Se-joo (Kim Min-jae) is the most sensible one among the trio because he has proven in these episodes that he’s not! How dare he reveal everything about the bet to Eun Tae-hee (Joy)!?! How dare he ruin Kwon Si-hyun’s (Woo Do-hwan) plan to confess to Tae-hee and accept his punishment wholeheartedly!?! I felt like my heart was crushed into a million pieces when I saw the pain and confusion that registered on Tae-hee’s face while looking at the video of Si-hyun, Se-joo, and Choi Soo-ji (Moon Ga-young) plotting against her.
Se-joo is so crazy in love with Soo-ji that he’s being blinded by it. I don’t know what made his view of love so twisted. Is it because of the violence he experiences at home? Is it because of lack of love? Is it because he has suppressed his feelings for Soo-ji and his other emotions like pain and anger for so long? I don’t really know.
I can’t believe that Se-joo told Soo-ji that the bet isn’t her fault. Really, Se-joo? Okay. It’s true that it’s not totally Soo-ji’s fault because Se-joo and Si-hyun also played their parts in that stupid love game, but she’s definitely the most guilty among them because she’s the one who started it and dragged the two boys in it. Glad that she’s now slowly going back to her senses especially after she learned that it’s her mom who lured Si-hyun’s omma to go to Tae-hee’s mother. I can feel the overwhelming guilt that is eating her whole after discovering that her mother was also the one who almost killed Tae-hee in a hit-and-run accident. Isn’t it ironic that Soo-ji also almost hit Tae-hee (and Si-hyun) with her car? The only difference is that the latter was deliberate. Argh, I wish her plan to go abroad with her omma pushes through because I can’t bear to see them near Tae-hee and Si-hyun anymore!
PLEASE LET IT BE A HAPPY ENDING
I really want Tae-hee and Si-hyun to have a happy ending. I’m sure you all want that, too. But there are just a lot of hindrances that make my hope waver. The biggest one is the bet’s revelation to Tae-hee. I don’t know how she’s going to process everything, and I’m not sure if she can forgive the trio, especially Si-hyun. Though I’d really want them to make up, I cannot rush Tae-hee in healing her broken heart because I can totally understand how painful the truth is for her. Not to mention the fact that Tae-hee and Si-hyun haven’t settled the issue about their parents yet. So yeah, it’s a very messy time for our main OTP right now.
Another hindrance is Si-hyun’s plan to go abroad with his grandma. Does he plan to come back or will he and Tae-hee see each other and rekindle their romance overseas because it seems like the latter is also interested in studying abroad. But I haven’t seen BTS photos or articles about the cast filming out of Korea so I’m not very hopeful of this possibility. But they can also film this overseas scene, if there’s any, in Korea and make it look like they’re out of the country, right?
Still on Si-hyun’s plan to go abroad. He made that decision after receiving documents from his grandma saying he really is his father’s son. I don’t know if I should believe it or not because I remember Si-hyun’s grandma talking to someone on the phone after Si-hyun’s confession. It’s so suspicious, but I can’t think of any reason why Si-hyun’s grandma would conceal the truth. I don’t think it’s because she wants Si-hyun to take over their business empire because she even told him not to be pressured by it, plus she has one more heir—Si-hyun’s cousin Kwon Yeo-min (Yeonwoo). Hmmm… what do you think?
Before finishing off this K-Drama Reaction, let me just share to you the pretty words of Tae-hee’s dad about his one-sided love for Tae-hee’s mom:
“You shouldn’t make fun of one-sided love. Your mom didn’t love me… as much as I wanted her to, but she let me love her… as much as I wanted. So that’s enough for me. I didn’t win her heart completely, but it fulfilled my heart.”
Where are the tissues?!? LOL. I’ll see you next week for the finale!
