This episode focused on the big reveal of Joon-hee (Jung Hae-in) and Jin-a’s (Son Ye-jin) secret relationship. We all know this should not really be that major of a deal since both of them are in their 30s, have stable jobs, and single. So it’s just fair enough that the show spent only one episode to tell everyone the truth.
BRB, crying
OMG, Son Ye-jin is a high caliber actress of her own. That breakdown scene with Dad deserved a round of applause. I could feel her sincere apology and I was so happy that Appa was just so understanding. He knew about the relationship so Jin-a did not really have to explain so much, her father was just satisfied that she finally had the guts to tell him the truth. I loved how Dad even volunteered to help Jin-a in telling Mom.
Kyung-sun (Jang So-yeon) crying in front of her mom while asking her not to let Joon-hee face difficult times just crushed my heart. She felt betrayed that her brother and her best friend developed feelings for each other without her knowing, and at the end of the day, she still accepted their relationship wholeheartedly. Jin-a is just so lucky to have met the Seo siblings.
This was one of the most heartfelt confrontations between best friends in dramaland:

Also, Joon-hee’s phone call to his sister pleading her to give Jin-a a break just proved how he sincerely loved his girlfriend.

What scares me now is the aftermath of the big reveal inside Jin-a’s household. Joon-hee and Jin-a already told Mom. Seung-ho (Wi Ha-joon) even took the hit after Mom realized that she is the only one who doesn’t know about the relationship yet. I’m scared for her health, but I am more afraid of the insults that Joon-hee and Kyung-sun have to go through because of Jin-a’s judgmental mother.
GRUMPY ALLEY
Every time this song plays in the background, I can’t help but get teary-eyed.
Being nosy has its price sometimes… I love Lee Ye-eun’s (Lee Joo-young) reaction!
Even Kang Se-yeong (Jeong Eugene) got the shock of her life because Geum Bo-ra (Joo Min-kyung) doesn’t know how to step on the brakes!
Are we going to expect more scenes like this now that they are out in the open? I’m not complaining!
