Following Kang So-ra’s (Revolutionary Love) departure from upcoming fantasy tvN drama Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter citing schedule issues, Moon Chae-won (Criminal Minds) has now confirmed she’ll be taking on the lead female role opposite Yoon Hyun-min (Witch’s Court).
The drama is based on a webtoon about a fairy (Moon Chae-won) who’s trapped in this world because her fairy clothes were taken by a man and hidden. She eventually married the man, but he died after falling from a precipice. She then waits for her husband to be reincarnated to get her fairy clothes. In the modern times, she’s a barista who to ordinary people appears as a grandmother but retains her youthful appearance in front of certain people with whom she has a special connection.
Moon Chae-won is a great actress so I’m happy to see her back in dramaland after that lackluster Criminal Minds.
