Another development was announced for the upcoming SBS drama “Yeowoo Gaksibyeol” (romanized title). Lee Je-hoon (Tomorrow With You) is now offered the lead role, reports stated.
It has to be remembered that Park Shin-hye and Hyun Bin were both previously courted by the drama when the production initially began with the title “Yeowoo Gaksibyeol.” However, the drama plot was drastically changed midway along with the title, People at Incheon Airport (literal translation). Both Park Shin-hye and Hyun Bin declined the casting offers and had since moved on into another drama production, Memories of Alhambra.
Suzy (While You Were Sleeping) and Park Bo-gum (Love in the Moonlight) were also earlier reported to have received casting offers from People of Incheon Airport.
On June 1, K-Entertainment site Soompi reported that the drama recently brought back its original title “Yeowoo Gaksibyeol.”
Lee Je-hoon is in talks to play the main character Kang Ki-chan, who works at the Incheon Airport’s operational planning team. He is a frustrated pilot, who was forced to give up on his dream due to his bad eyesight, though he remains passionate about aviation.
Scriptwriter Kang Eun-kyung (Romantic Doctor Kim, Gu Family Book) will pen the drama.
Yeowoo Gaksibyeol was earlier reported to take over the slot taken by Wok of Love. No specific announcement yet whether the initial airing schedule will push through.
