K-Drama Reaction: Why Secretary Kim | Episode 3

Is there anyone out there who needs some tips on how to impress a girl on a date? Maybe you can learn a thing or two from the narcissistic (but charming!!!) Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon).

THE BLOCKBUSTER CURSE

Have you ever heard of the blockbuster curse? Well basically, it’s like giving your date the best date ever, as in a super fancy one that she won’t forget for the rest of her life, so that she won’t be able to go on an ordinary date anymore. LOL. I know that means spending lots of money, but if that also means impressing the girl of your dreams, then why not, right? So here’s how it’s done.

First, you need to know what she likes to do on a date. Well, you can be as creative as making her answer a ‘survey’ to successfully accomplish this first step. LOL.

Second, make your best friend an accomplice by having him set up an appointment with your date at an amusement park on a weekend.

Third, rent the whole amusement park for the whole night, and oblige your date to ride all the stomach-churning rides before you let her choose the one that she actually likes. LOL. This is so Young-joon! It’s up to you if you’d duplicate this style because not everyone can pull off being insensitive but lovable and funny at the same time.

Fourth, bring your date to a fine-dining restaurant reserved for just the two of you.

Fifth, ride a cruise and watch fireworks together, but don’t lent her your coat until she lectures you about how a guy should take care of his date. LOL. Again, it’s up to you if you’d like to follow this insensitive yet lovable style of affection.

Sixth, shower her with gifts. In Young-joon’s case, he gave Secretary Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young) a nice necklace and a cow stuffed toy that he named ‘Hardworking Cow.’ Hahaha!

Finally, kiss her in front of her house. Sadly, you can’t get any help from Young-joon on this one because he failed this most important step! Jinja, Young-joon!?!

Do all these and voila! The girl of your dreams will be instantly put under your blockbuster curse. 💯💯💯

JEALOUS YOUNG-JOON IS THE CUTEST

I don’t know until when Young-joon will deny, but it’s so obvious that he’s being jealous whenever another guy is near Secretary Kim. For one instance, just look at his face when he saw her fixing her blind date’s necktie. Hi there, Ma depyo (Park Byung-eun)!

Also, his facial reactions when Secretary Kim ran closely with ‘Mr. Popular’ Yoomyung employee Go Gwi-nam (Chansung) during one of the competitions at the company track meet are so funny! He even said that there will be no more company track meet events in the future. 😂 And maybe he’s too distracted by jealousy that’s why he tripped while walking out of the event’s venue. Uh-oh.

But still, thanks to Young-joon’s jealousy of Gwi-nam because this led him and Secretary Kim to this very sexy position. Omooo.

P.S. I’m having this hunch that Young-joon’s phobia with cable ties and his old scar on his ankle, and the kidnapping incident that Secretary Kim wants to dig up are all connected to each other. There’s also a possibility that Young-joon is the ‘brother’ that Secretary Kim is looking for.

P.P.S. We’ve finally met Young-joon’s brother Lee Sung-yeon (Lee Tae-hwan), who lives a secret life as the famous international novelist Morpheus. I’m dying to know why his relationship with his brother seems to be sour, as well as what gonna be his role in the budding romance of our OTP!
