Can love really conquer all? Lee Do-ha and Choi Mi-ka have faced the toughest of times and have overcome the hardest obstacles together, but when the whole world seemed to be your enemy, can love really help you through?
Now I understand what Miss Oh (Kim Hae-sook) meant when she said that Do-ha (Lee Sang-yoon) and Mi-ka (Lee Sung-kyung)’s love story will be happy but sad as well. Maybe, she’s already seen it even before Mi-ka realized that her timespan increases because she takes away his. I do get how Mi-ka was shaken by that very fact because what person can be happy knowing you’re loved one is losing days of his life whenever you’re together. However, it would have been better if she told the truth to Do-ha and work it out together than having to go through it all alone.
Maybe, Mi-ka tried to sort things out. Maybe, she’s considered telling Do-ha the truth. And maybe, it didn’t turn out that way because of the intimidating Bae Soo-bong (Im Se-mi). I was astounded when she shamelessly organized a meeting between herself, Mi-ka, and Kim Joo-na (Kim Gyu-ri) and told them to back off because Do-ha belongs to her. She’s got some real talent to spew our hurtful words left and right, huh. I was no longer expecting Mi-ka to defend herself bravely because she’s never been confrontational, it was frustrating that Joo-na wasn’t able to do anything as well. I was cheering in my head for Mi-ka and Joo-na to gang up against her but it didn’t happen. You’ll have your day Soo-bong!!!
So despite Do-ha being consistently reassuring, it wasn’t enough for Mi-ka to be able to hold to their relationship. And like the calm before a storm, Mi-ka decided to spend the day with Do-ha and celebrated their love. And then, left.
Is Mr. Park (Jang Gwang) dying the next morning? *sobs*
With all the overwhelming drama going on, I wish we could have more cute scenes between Jung Sung-hee (Han Seung-yeon) and Choi Wi-jin (Rowoon) to balance things out.
Am I the only one who fins Mi-ka’s Mom (Na Young-hee) everytime she says this word:
And to make up for my delayed review, here’s a couple pictorial of our two leads, Lee Sang-yoon and Lee Sung-kyung:
