I still don’t know why Sae-woo’s mother Jin Jung-hye (Lee Mi-sook) insists that her daughter should marry someone who is “at the same level” as them. Ahjumma, I understand that Poong (Junho) is really mean to you, but please wake up! You even criticized Sae-woo’s ex husband O-jik (Lee Ki-hyuk) for not going against his parents’ orders, but you do the same thing to your own daughter!
Speaking of O-jik, he’s a coward, useless jerk up until the end. And even though it hurts, I am glad he didn’t show up to their wedding. You don’t need a guy who considers marriage as business.
So Chil-sung (Jang Hyuk) remains to be the best asset of the drama, and despite being hurt and jealous by the relationship of Poong and Sae-woo (Jung Ryeo-won), he was still able to tell Poong to always be by his side.
Chil-sung, being the superhero that he is, now looks on other ways to trample down the Giant Hotel and its CEO Yung Sung-ryong (Kim Sa-kwon). As is turned out, CEO Yung had something to do with the case of Sae-woo’s Dad, President Dan Seung-ki (Lee Ki-young). And now, Chil-sung is determined to deal with President Dan and look for possible witnesses as evidence for CEO Yung’s illegal deeds. At the end of the day, it’s Chil-sung who will solve everyone else’s problem in this drama. Chil-sung will get CEO Yung jailed, and President Dan released.
The episode’s cliffhanger was a long time coming! I wonder how Poong will react now that Sae-woo lied to him? Not to mention his cluelessness that the whole kitchen staff were members of the Dan household!
GRUMPY ALLEY
Awww. The female patient turned out to be a veterinarian!!!! Can we ship her with Chil-sung???? I hope we get to see Chil-sung happy and in love before the show ends.
I like how Hungry Wok’s kitchen now has good dynamics when it comes to preparing orders, except during Poong’s occasional anger outbursts.
Speaking of Poong’s anger management issues, I admit the chef’s got a point when he scolded Madame Jin, but then again, he hired her knowing her lack of restaurant background. And to Madame Jin, it’s been ages since you started working in Hungry Wok. Why can’t you adjust? Are Seol-ja (Park Ji-young) and Geok-jung (Tae Hang-ho) also to blame for taking her side and spoiling her? Why don’t they teach her the basics instead?
Aww here’s a power hug, ahjussi! đź’–

Those heartfelt Chilpoong scenes were my favorite. Their delivery was so nice. I feel Chilsung’s loneliness and Poong’s care. May the bromance prevail.
