K-Drama Reaction: Why Secretary Kim | Episode 13

Lee Young-joon just proved to me in this episode that he’s far from being a saint, and I think I liiiiike it. 😂

YOUNG-JOON, THE SEXY BULLDOZER

Omygosh, uri Young-joon (Park Seo-joon) couldn’t stop his bursting feelings for Secretary Kim (Park Min-young) anymore! He’s so open about his physical need and desire for Secretary Kim, and I’m not even complaining. Why would I??? Truth is I find his openness sooo sexy.

But fulfilling his desire for Secretary Kim was never a smooth journey. Let’s take a look at all these hurdles that our poor Young-joon had to go through just to take their relationship to the next level.

I know it’s really frustrating on Young-joon’s part, but I also get why Secretary Kim felt like he is pushing her to do ‘it.’ Because just like what BFF Park Yoo-sik said, controlling speed is so important in a relationship. But if I were Secretary Kim (sadly I’m not and will never be), I would never mind whether Young-joon is being a bulldozer or a tractor or a bullet train. I’d welcome him with arms wide open whenever and wherever. Yes, I’m this kind of girl. 😂

But before this episode ended, Secretary Kim realized that she wasn’t being considerate enough of Young-joon’s feelings so she decided to give in. And omona, that was one of the hottest “bed scenes” I’ve seen in dramaland in a while! Plus Seo-joon oppa’s abs are a scene stealer!!! 🙈🙈🙈

I’ve discussed in my previous K-Drama Reaction my concern about a possible shocking twist awaiting us in the last four episodes due to the jinx that might be brought by Young-joon’s broken cup and Secretary Kim’s scratched heels. But now I think I worried for nothing because there’s not even a slight indication in this episode that something sad is about to happen, and I’m uber glad about it! If PD-nim and writer-nim decide to just fill the remaining episodes with more intimate scenes between our main and supporting OTPs, then who am I to question it?! Bring it on! 😂😂😂

JI-A, THE QUICK-WITTED HOOBAE

I think it would be harder now for Young-joon and Secretary Kim to hide their relationship in the office especially after Kim Ji-a (Pyo Ye-jin) accidentally discovered their romance. Well, it was never a problem for Young-joon because he actually wants the whole world to know. It’s Secretary Kim who is being cautious about it because she wants to protect Young-joon as he’s on a different league. But I honestly think that Secretary Kim is the one who needs protection, because it can’t be helped that some people would judge her once they find out.

Admittedly, I like Miss Bong (Hwang Bo-ra) and Mr. Yang’s (Kang Hong-suk) OTP more than that of Ji-a and Go Gwi-nam (Chansung), but now that they are starting to see each other in a different light, I’m also starting to appreciate them better. I now also understand why Gwi-nam is being so frugal, and I consider his vulnerability in from of Ji-a a major development in their romance. I wish to see more of them in the remaining episodes!

HEALED

Before I go, let me just mention how happy I am that Lee Sung-yeon (Lee Tae-hwan) and his parents are now also okay. I know Sung-yeon will now be doing fine because he finally freed himself from hatred. I wish him nothing but the best as he moves forward with his life because he also deserves happiness!
