The South Korean remake of the popular British crime drama will be headlined by the veteran actor.
According to reports, Shin Ha-kyun (Pied Piper) will take on the role of veteran investigator Woo Tae-seok, who is dedicated to solving crimes. This is the counterpart of Idris Elba’s titular role of John Luther. The series will revolve around Woo Tae-seok and his struggle to fight the darkness of the crimes he handles.
Earlier, HODU&U Entertainment has confirmed idol-turned-actor Baro is considering the offer to appear in the crime drama.
Luther will take over MBC’s Monday-Tuesday timeslot after the conclusion of Jang Hyuk’s Bad Papa.
