Gong Hyo-jin’s (Jealousy Incarnate) agency, SOOP Management, has announced that the actress is currently reviewing an offer to lead the upcoming KBS rom-com thriller When Camellia Blooms.
The drama will center on Dong-baek, whose name literally means Camellia flower, a single mom who owns a bar called Camellia. Despite being the sole parent to her son and growing up as an orphan, she is decisive and knows how to protect herself. Reports about the plot say that Dong-baek will deal with a good man, a bad man, and a cheap man in her life.
When Camellia Blooms is being penned by Fight My Way’s writer Im Sang-choon, and will be under the direction of PD Cha Young-hoon, who also directed Baek-hee Has Returned and Are You Human Too. It is set to air next year.
