The drama adaptation of the popular webtoon “Welcome” (literal title) has confirmed the casting of its lead stars.
Previously reported to be topbilled by Kim Myung-soo/INFINITE’s L (Angel’s Last Mission: Love), Shin Ye-eun (He is Psychometric) and Seo Ji-hoon (Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) are now set to join the drama.
Based on the webtoon by Go A-ra published from 2009 to 2010, “Eoseowa” is a fantasy romantic comedy about a cat who transforms into a human. Kim Myung-soo will star as the cat-turned-human Hong Jo.
Shin Ye-eun will appear as Kim Sol-ah, a jaded woman who lives on her own and happens to take a cat home. She works as a new hire in a virtual design company. Unknown to Sol-ah, Hong Jo lives a double life and has the ability to transform into a human. Her life is about to change as Hong Jo will help her heal her emotional wounds.
Seo Ji-hoon will play another lead character, Lee Jae-sun, but no specific details has been released about his character description yet.
It will be directed by Ji Byung-hyun (Big), and will be written by Ju Hwa-mi (Marriage, Not Dating, Introverted Boss).
The drama is scheduled to broadcast on KBS in March 2020.
