Lee Dong-wook (Strangers From Hell) and Jo Bo-ah (My Strange Hero) are both cast in the upcoming drama “Tale of Gumiho” or “Tale of the Nine-tailed Fox” (working title).
Lee Dong-wook will portray the gumiho Yi Yeon, who used to be the god of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range. His new job as a gumiho is to clean up after the mess of those who disturb the human world while hiding behind the guise of ghost tales. He is known to be extremely good looking and overzealous in performing his tasks. Jo Bo-ah will appear as the gutsy producing director (PD) Nam Ji-ah, who is currently directing the show “Finding Urban Legends.” She will do anything and everything, from blending in with religious cults to entering haunted houses, just to create great content for her program.
“Tale of Gumiho” is scheduled to air on tvN in 2020. This will serve as a reunion project of PD Kang Shin-hyo and screenwriter Han Woo-ri, who previously worked together for OCN’s “Children of a Lesser God.”
