Park Hae-jin, Han Ji-eun, Park Ki-woong team up in new drama

MBC’s newest drama “Old School Intern” has completed its major lead characters. Park hae-jin (Forest), Han Ji-eun (Be Melodramatic), Park Ki-woong (Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung) were all confirmed to star in the upcoming office comedy alongside the titular character to be portrayed by veteran actor Kim Eung-soo (Chief of Staff).

Old School Intern” is a revenge comedy about a marketing department head who would encounter his former boss as a senior intern in his new company. Park Hae-jin will play the lead character Ga Yeol-chan, an employee who now works in Jun Su Foods ramyun company after resigning from his former workplace because of his bossy superior Lee Man-shik (to be portrayed by Kim Eung Soo). Life turns upside down for both of them as the former rookie employee is now in upper management and the old boss as the lowly senior intern.

Han Ji-eun will also be playing an intern at the Jun Su Foods ramyun company, alongside Kim Eung-soo. She is set to appear as Lee Tae-ri, a strong and hard-working member of the marketing team, who at times has the tendency to be spontaneous and astray. Meanwhile, Park Ki-woong will play as the arrogant CEO of Jun Su Foods, Namgoong Jun-su. His family owns the ramyun company, and his character acts as the puppet president who cannot make his own decisions for the company with his father’s permission. His character will be at odds with Park Hae-jin.

The drama will be directed by Nam Sung-woo (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, 100 Days My Prince, Kill It) and written by Shin So-ra, who won the grand prize for the 2018 MBC Drama Screenwriting Competition for this script.

It aims to broadcast in May via MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday slot.
