After four years, Kim Bum (Mrs. Cop) finally returns to dramaland through the upcoming tvN drama “Tale of Gumiho” or “Tale of the Nine-tailed Fox” (working title). He will join Lee Dong-wook (Strangers From Hell) and Jo Bo-ah (Forest) as the drama’s lead stars.
He will play the role of Yi Rang, a gumiho who resents humans despite settling in their world, and the half-brother of Lee Dong Wook’s character Yi Yeon.
Lee Dong-wook will portray the gumiho Yi Yeon, who used to be the god of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range. His new job as a gumiho is to clean up after the mess of those who disturb the human world while hiding behind the guise of ghost tales. He is known to be extremely good looking and overzealous in performing his tasks. Jo Bo-ah will appear as the gutsy producing director (PD) Nam Ji-ah, who is currently directing the show “Finding Urban Legends.” She learns about Yi Yeon’s existence and will court him to appear in her reality program.
“Tale of Gumiho” is scheduled to air on tvN in the second half of 2020. This will serve as a reunion project of PD Kang Shin-hyo and screenwriter Han Woo-ri, who previously worked together for OCN’s “Children of a Lesser God.”
