Ji Soo (My First First Love), Im Soo-hyang (Graceful Family), Ha Suk-jin (Crash Landing on You), and Hwang Seung-eon (The Time) are all confirmed to star in the upcoming MBC drama “When I Was the Prettiest” (literal translation).
Im Soo-hyang will appear as the ceramic artist Oh Ye-ji, who dreams of just having a simple life but gets caught up in a twist of fate as she gets entangled in a love triangle between two brothers.
Ji Soo and Ha Suk-jin will portray the two brothers Seo Hwan and Seo Jin. Ji Soo will appear as the architect Seo Hwan who fell in love with Oh Ye-ji at first sight. He was the first one to meet her and considered her as his first love. He eventually brought her to his father’s workshop to impress her but things didn’t go as planned because she got close to his older brother instead. This stained his relationship with his brother as Ye-ji would eventually become his sister-in-law.
Meanwhile, Ha Suk-jin will appear as rally driver Seo Jin, who always does everything to pursue anything he wants. He will be drawn to Oh Ye-ji after meeting her at their father’s workshop.
Hwang Seung-eon, on the other hand, will portray the character of Carrie Jeong, Seo Jin’s marketing business partner and ex-girlfriend.
Yoon Kyun-sang (Clean With Passion For Now) was initially offered the role of Seo Hwan, but he declined.
The drama will be written by Jo Hyun-kyung (Grand Prince) and directed by PD Oh Kyung-hoon (Bad Thief, Good Thief). It is slated to air in August 2020.
