Jung Da-bin, NU’EST’s Minhyun cast in new youth drama

Jung Da-bin (Extracurricular) and NU’EST’s Hwang Min-hyun are both confirmed as the leads of the upcoming jtbc youth romance drama “Live On” (working title).

Live On” will tell the story of a female high schooler who falls in love with her high school’s broadcasting club president.

Jung Da-bin will take on the role of Baek Ho-rang, a condescending and self-centered popular girl in Seo Hyun High School at the very top of the social hierarchy. She is not just famous in school, but also on social media. She joins the school’s broadcasting club to dig into the identity of an anonymous person trying to unveil her past.

Hwang Min-hyun will play as the school’s respected broadcasting club leader Go Eun-taek. He is a perfectionist when it comes to club activities, and can be sensitive, inflexible, and easily irritated. He will help Baek Ho-rang in finding out the mysterious person leaking her secret.

The drama will be directed by Kim Sang-woo (Extraordinary You, My Ahjussi) and will be written by Bang Yoo-jung, who is known for web dramas Four Reasons I Hate Christmas, Just One Bite.

The drama will be co-produced by Playlist Studio, popularly known as studio behind web dramas “A-Teen” and “Love Playlist,” Keyeast, and JTBC Studio. No release date has been announced as of writing.
