The upcoming Netflix original series helmed by “Train to Busan” director Yeon Sang-ho has confirmed its main cast. Yoo Ah-in (Chicago Typewriter), Won Jin-ah (Melting Me Softly), and Park Jeong-min (Time to Hunt) are all set to join the project.
The drama was previously a film project titled “Hell.” It will revolve around the events in a human-made hell built using artificial reality.
Also joining the cast are Kim Hyun-joo, Yang Ik-joon, Kim Do-yoon, Kim Shin-rok, Ryu Kyung-soo, and Lee Re.
Yoo Ah-in takes on the role of Jung Jin-soo, the head of “Saejinrihoe,” a cult believing that the appearance of the grim reaper of hell is a sign of god.
Park Jeong-min will play the role of Bae Young-jae, a news reporter who digs deep into Saejinrihoe. Won Jin-ah will appear as Bae Young-jae’s wife Song So-hyun.
Kim Hyun-joo will play the character of Min Hye-in, a lawyer who stands up against “Saejinrihoe” and its believers.
Yang Ik-joon is cast as detective Jin Kyung-hoon while Lee Re will appear as daughter Jin Hee-jung. Kim Shin-rok will appear as Park Jung-ah, a mother who has been sentenced to hell, while Ryu Kyung-soo and Kim Do-yoon will appear as both members of the cult.
