Cable channel jtbc announces the casting of Shin Ha-kyun (Soul Repairer) and Yeo Jin-goo (Hotel del Luna) for the upcoming psychological thriller “Monster” (working title).
The drama revolves around two police detectives who are in the pursuit to solve a serial killing case and will do everything to uncover the killer’s real identity.
Shin Ha-kyun will appear as Sergeant Lee Dong-shik, a former police detective assigned in the Violent Crimes Division. He has since been re-deployed in a police station in the countryside doing very menial work.
Yeo Jin-goo is cast as Detective Han Joo-won, a much younger and high ranking police officer who will be re-assigned to Lee Dong-shik’s local station. Together, they will work as partners in solving a 20-year-old serial murder case in their village.
“Monster” will be written by Kim Soo-jin (Mad Dog) and directed by PD Shim Na-yeon (At Eighteen).
It is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2021.
