CNBlue’s Kang Min-hyuk (Hospital Ship), Jung In-sun (Psychopath Diary), Song Jae-rim (I Wanna Hear Your Song), and EXID’s Hani (SF8) are all confirmed for the upcoming drama adaptation of the webtoon “Born in 1985.” The drama will premiere on KakaoM, a new video platform from KakaoTalk, will be called “Not Yet 30” and will have 15 episodes for 20 minutes each.
“Not Yet 30” will be a slice-of-life drama featuring the career and love lives of women in their early 30s.
Jung In-sun will take on the role of 30-year-old webtoon author Seo Ji-won, who only got her stable following recently after many years of writing webtoons.
Kang Min-hyuk is cast for the role of Lee Seung-yoo, the planning and production team manager of Seo Ji-won’s publishing house. He is also apparently Seo Ji-won’s first love from middle school. This drama will be Kang Min-hyuk’s comeback drama following his military discharge and his first as the main lead.
Song Jae-rim also joins the lead cast as film director Cha Do-hoon, a friendly and reliable PD who is set to give a movie adaptation of Seo Ji-won’s webtoon.
Lastly, EXID’s Hani will portray the character of anchor Lee Ran-joo, Seo Ji-won longtime friend. Though her job as a newscaster seems promising on the outside, an incident will cause her to consider herself as a regular office worker. She will eventually meet a much younger man who will change her perspective.
