Park So-dam started her acting career in 2013 through the short film No More No Less. She shared in one of her interviews that she got rejected in around 17 auditions before she started doing independent films.

Steel Cold Winter | (Movie / 2013) – Ji-yeon
The same year, she appeared in the CJ Entertainment-backed indie Steel Cold Winter starring Kim Yoon-hye and Kim Shi-hoo. The romance/mystery thriller drew plenty of notice when it premiered at the Busan International Film Festival.

Her first role for a TV project was in KBS’ Drama Special – Red Moon, which tells the story of Prince Sado (played by Kim Dae-myung) and how he spiraled down due to his insanity. Here, So-dam played the role of Princess Hwawan, the wise and meticulous sister of Prince Sado.

The Throne | (Movie / 2015) – Moon So-won
Park So-dam also starred in another supporting role in the period movie The Throne. The film’s cast also includes other up-and-coming actresses like Seo Ye-ji and Ji Jin-hee.

My First Time | (OnStyle / 2015) – Han Song-yi
In 2015, she starred with Choi Min-ho, Kim Min-jae, Jung Yoo-jin and Lee Yi-kyung in the youth drama My First Time. Her portrayal as Han Song-yi earned her a nomination for Best New Actress for TV in the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards. The 8-episode series was then rebooted in 2019 under the title My First First Love.

In 2016, she starred opposite Jang Hyuk in the medical melodrama A Beautiful Mind.
