In Spotlight: Ok Taecyeon Filmography

Ok Taecyeon first stole our hearts as the rapper of the beastly-dols, 2PM, back in 2008. He stood out among the flower-boy-filled idol industry with his strapping physique. He was ‘sangnamja’ through and through. But after debuting as an actor in 2010, Taecyeon proved that he has more to offer. Since then, he has been showing different faces through his various roles in TV and movies. Let’s look at another side of Taecyeon’s with this list of his acting projects.

Cinderella’s Stepsister (KBS2 / 2010) – Han Jeong-woo

Taecyeon made his acting debut in the 2010 KBS drama series Cinderella’s Sister alongside Moon Geun-young and Chun Jung-myung.

Dream High (KBS2 / 2011) – Jin Gook

Who else here thought Jin-guk and Hye-mi were endgame in Dream High? Regardless of your ship, I think we can all agree that this squad – composed of Taecyeon, Bae Suzy, Kim Soo-hyun, IU, and Ham Eun-jung – is coolest and talented squad in K-dramaland!

Boku to Star no (99 Nichi 99 days with the Superstar) (Fuji TV / 2011) – Tae-sung

He was part of the 2011 Japanese TV Drama Boku to Star no 99 Nichi (99 Days With The Superstar), which stars Kim Tae-hee.

Who Are You (tvN / 2013) – Detective Cha Gun-woo

He played a rookie cop in the 2013 tvN series Who Are You, where he worked with So Yi-hyun and Kim Jae-wook.

Marriage Blue (Movie/2013) – Won-cheol

Starring opposite Lee Yeon-hee, Taecyeon took on his first movie role in the ensemble romcom movie Marriage Blue in 2013.

Wonderful Days (KBS2 / 2014) – Kang Dong-hee (Dong-suk’s younger brother)

He and his Three Meals A Day co-star Lee Seo-jin first worked together in the 2014 hit weekend drama, Wonderful Days.

Assembly (KBS2 / 2015) – Kim Gyu-hwan

Together with Jung Jae-young and Song Yoon-ah, Taecyeon starred in the 2015 political drama Assembly.

Bring it on, Ghost (tvN / 2016) – Park Bong-pal

He starred opposite Kim So-hyun in the 2016 tvN series Lets Fight Ghost!

House of the Disappeared (2017) – Priest Choi

In 2017, Taecyeon played the role of Priest Choi in the mystery thriller flick House of the Disappeared. Here he worked with veteran actress Kim Yun-jin.

Save Me (OCN / 2017) – Han Sang-hwan

In 2017, he worked with Seo Ye-ji, Jo Sung-ha and Woo Do-hwan in the OCN thriller series Save Me.

The Game: Towards Zero (MBC / 2020) – Kim Tae-pyeong

In 2020, he reunited with his Marriage Blue co-star, Lee Yeon-hee, in the MBC mystery crime series The Game: Towards Zero!

Vincenzo (tvN / 2021) – Jang Joon-woo

Taecyeon transforms into a clumsy but zealous law intern Jang Joon-woo in Vincenzo. The series also starred Song Joong-ki and Jeon Yeo-bin.
