Song Hye-kyo (Encounter) and Jang Ki-yong (Born Again) have both been confirmed for the upcoming SBS drama “Now, We Are Breaking Up” (literal translation).
Joining them in the main cast are Choi Hee-seo (Stranger 2) and Kim Joo-hun (Start-Up).
The drama reportedly revolves around romantic love and break-ups. Song Hye-kyo will lead the drama as Ha Young-eun, a manager of the design team of a fashion brand. She is a realist who appears cold-hearted and very knowledgeable on latest trends in the industry.
Jang Ki-yong is cast as the male lead Yoon Jae-guk, a famous freelance photographer who’s got the looks and wealth.
Choi Hee-seo will play Hwang Chi-sook, a former schoolmate of Ha Young-eun who is now the director of the same design team. Meanwhile, Kim Joo-hun signs on for the role of Seok Do-hoon, a CEO of a PR firm.
“Now, We Are Breaking Up” will be directed by Lee Gil-bok (Dr. Romantic 2, Vagabond, My Love From the Star) and written by Je In (Misty).
Filming begins in April while the air date is schedule on the second half of 2021.
