Park Eun-bin And SF9’s Rowoon confirmed in upcoming period drama

Park Eun-bin (Do You Like Brahms?) and SF9’s Rowoon (Sunbae, Don’t Put That Lipstick On) have been confirmed to star in the upcoming KBS historical drama “Affection” (or “Yeonmo” a historical term which means “love”).

The drama is based on the manhwa “Yeonmo,” which is about a set of twins born in the palace. The female twin was initially supposed to be killed because of old customs, but was just sent out of the palace following the request of their mother. As her brother dies due to a disease, she is secretly sent back to the palace to pretend as the crown prince.

Park Eun-bin takes on the role of the Crown Prince Lee Hwi, who is proficient in literature and skilled in martial arts. Due to her royal disguise, she always hides her emotions and keeps her distance to anyone.

Rowoon will play the role of Jung Ji-woon, Lee Hwi’s teacher who is also the son of a government official. He is charming and optimistic, who chose a different path that what is set out for him by his family.

The drama will be directed by Song Hyun-wook (Graceful Friends, Beauty Inside, Another Oh Hae Young) while the script will be written by Han Hee-jung (Clean with Passion for Now). 

It aims to premiere in the second half of 2021.
