Shin Min-a, Kim Seon-ho confirmed for “Mr. Hong” remake

Shin Min-a (Chief of Staff 2) and Kim Seon-ho (Start-Up) have been confirmed as the leads of the upcoming drama remake of the 2004 movie “Mr. Hong.” The small screen adaptation will be called “Seashore Village ChaChaCha” (literal translation).

Shin Min-a will play the female protagonist Yoon Hye-jin, a righteous dentist who moves to the seashore village Gongjin. Kim Seon-ho signs on for the role of Hong Du-sik, fondly called as Mr. Hong around town. Though officially unemployed, he is always ready to lend a hand to everyone in the village, making him a busy bee.

The drama will be directed by Yoo Je-won (Oh My Ghostess, Tomorrow With You) and the script will be written by Shin Ha-eun (The Crowned Clown).

Seashore Village ChaChaCha” will air on tvN in the second half of 2021.
