Kim Sae-ron (Leverage) and Nam Da-reum (Start Up) are both set to lead the new KakaoTV fantasy romance drama “Excellent Shaman Ga Doo-shim” (literal title).
Kim Sae Ron will star as the titular character Ga Doo-shim, an 18-year-old high school girl whose only wish is to live a normal life but she is born with the fate of being a shaman. She will transfer to a new high school in the hopes of having a taste of normalcy.
Nam Da-reum will play the role of Na Woo-soo, a high school student who’s got it all – good looks, wealth, and intelligence. His peaceful life takes a major turn when he meets Ga Doo-shim. After meeting her, Na Woo-soo suddenly gains the ability to see evil spirits, and the two students begin their mysterious adventure together.
Excellent Shaman Ga Doo-shim will have 12 episodes, with 20 minutes each. Director Park Ho-jin and screenwriters Joo Brothers will team up for this drama.
It is scheduled to premiere in the second half 2021 through the online streaming platform KakaoTV.
