Highlight’s Yoon Doo-joon (Let’s Eat 3) is set to return to the small screen through the drama “There is No Goo Pil-soo” (working title).
The drama revolves around the bromance between Goo Pil-soo, a 40-something dreamer, and Jung Seok, a 20-something entrepreneur.
Yoon Doo-joon will play the role of Jung Seok, a genius in his twenties who dreams of having his own start-up. He grew up to an average family in the province and got accepted in one of the most prestigious university in Seoul. He finds his way to success without wealth and connections through building his own start-up company.
On the other hand, veteran movie actor Kwak Do-won (Steel Rain 2: Summit, The Golden Holiday) will take the titular role of Goo Pil-soo, a former boxer who now runs a small bar.
The drama’s script will be co-written by Son Geun-Joo (Backstreet Rookie) and Lee Hae-ri.
Filming begins in July 2021. The drama’s broadcast network has yet to be announced as of writing.
