Kim Nam-gil (The Fiery Priest) has been confirmed for the lead role in the new SBS drama adaptation of the non-fiction novel “Those Who Read Hearts of Evil” (literal title).
Based on the original work by criminal profiler Kwon Il-yong & writer Go Na-moo, the drama will feature Kim Nam-gil as criminal profiler Song Ha-young. As part of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Scientific Investigation of Criminal Behavior Analysis team, his main tasks revolve around digging up cases about serial killers. He is charismatic but doesn’t express his emotions much, which enables him to read humans, specifically criminal minds, objectively.
Joinining him in this exciting crime thriller project are Jin Seon-kyu and Kim So-jin. Jin Seon-kyu will take on the role of Criminal Behavior Analysis team lead Gook Young-soo while Kim So-jin will appear as Mobile Investigation Unit head Yoon Tae-goo.
Those Who Read Hearts of Evil will be directed by PD Park Bo-ram. The drama is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2021.
