Son Ye-jin (Crash Landing on You) has been confirmed to lead the upcoming JTBC drama “Thirty Nine” (literal title). She will be joined by Jeon Mi-do (Hospital Playlist 2), Ahn So-hee (Missing: The Other Side) and Kim Ji-hyun (Backstreet Rookie).

Thirty Nine will tell the story of three longtime friends who are turning 40s. It will involve the daily lives, including the respective careers and romances, of the three best friends. Son Ye-jin takes the lead as Cha Mi-jo, a wealthy director of a dermatology clinic in Gangnam. Jeon Mi-do will take on the role of one of Cha Mi-jo’s close friends, acting coach Jung Chan-young.

The drama will be directed by Kim Sang-ho (Run On) and written by Yoo Young-ah (Encounter).
