Ji Chang-wook (Lovestruck in the City), Sung Dong-il (Hospital Playlist 2), and Choi Soo-young (So I Married An Anti-Fan) are set to lead the upcoming healing drama “Tell Me Your Wish” (literal title).
The drama will revolve around the life of a juvenile delinquent who entered a hospice ward to serve community service. It is inspired by an actual foundation that grants the last wishes of terminal cancer patients in The Netherlands.
Ji Chang-wook will play the character of Yoon Gye-re, a young man who keeps a tough facade but deep inside, has no desire to live anymore. He struggles for survival everyday as he transfers from juvenile centers to orphanage to prison. Whenever his will to live grows, he forcefully inflicts pain onto his body by tattooing himself.
Choi Soo-young is confirmed for the female lead role of Seo Yeon-joo, a hospice nurse who advocates good health and long life.
Sung Dong-il has also been confirmed to join the drama as Kang Tae-shik, a volunteer at the hospice.
Tell Me Your Wish will be directed by Kim Yong-wan (The Cursed) while the script was written by Jo Ryong-soo.
The production will be handled by Climax Studio, which produced the Netflix series DP and Hellbound. A&E Networks Korea, a global media group created by a joint venture between Disney and Hearst Communications, will invest in the production.
