Im Soo-hyang (When I Was The Most Beautiful), Sung Hoon (Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce)), Shin Dong-wook (My Unfamiliar Family), and Hong Ji-yoon (My Country) are all set to star in the new romantic comedy drama titled “Starting Today, We” (literal translation), a remake of the hit American series “Jane The Virgin.”
Im Soo-hyang will play the highly anticipated role of Oh Woo-ri, an assistant writer on an ongoing hit makjang drama. She strictly adheres to a life of chastity until one day, she ends up with a completely unexpected pregnancy due to an accidental artificial insemination during a medical exam.
Sung Hoon will play as Raphael, a cosmetics brand CEO and the biological father of Oh Woo-ri’s child. He is describe as a tsundere who hopes to find love and happiness.
Shin Dong-wook takes on the role of Lee Kang -jae, a principled detective in the violent crimes unit. He is also Oh Woo-ri’s boyfriend, who respects her choices.
Hong Ji-yoon will appear as Lee Ma-ri, a shallow beauty who intentionally approaches Raphael to seduce and marry him.
The drama has recently completed script reading, but as of writing, the air date and broadcast network are yet to be announced.
