Disney+ reveals cast line-up for “Moving”

Disney+ announced the star-studded cast of its upcoming Korean original series entitled Moving.

The supernatural series will be top-billed by Ryu Seung-ryong (Kingdom 2), Han Hyo-joo (Happiness), Jo In-sung (Dear My Friends), and Cha Tae-hyun (Police University). They are also joined by Ryoo Seung-bum (Sunlight Pours Down), Kim Sung-kyun (D.P.), Kim Hee-won (Big Issue), Moon Sung-geun (The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim), Lee Jung-ha (Nevertheless), Go Youn-jung (Law School), and Kim Do-hoon (Dark Hole).

Based on a popular webtoon, Moving is a superhero drama about children with hidden superpowers and their parents who hide painful secrets of the past. The story will revolve around how these secret superheroes would face dangers across times and generations. The series will be helmed by PD Park In-je (Kingdom Season 2) and will be adapted to screen by the webtoon creator himself, Kang Full.

Leading the cast, Ryu Seung-ryong will play the role of Jang Joo-won, who can recover quickly without feeling pain. Han Hyo-joo takes on the role of Lee Mi-hyun, who has superhuman five senses. Jo In-sung is cast as Kim Doo-sik, a veteran agent with flight capabilities. Cha Tae-hyun will the play character Jeon Je-do, who can generate electricity. Kim Sung-kyun takes on the role of Lee Jae-man, who has high speed and power. Meanwhile, Ryu Seung-beom will play the mysterious character named Frank, who pursues those with superpowers. In addition, Kim Hee-won will play the role of Choi Il-hwan, a teacher who teaches children with hidden superpowers while Moon Sung-geun takes on the role of Min Yong-jun, a secretive character hiding behind a “huge force.”

Rookie actor Lee Jung-ha will play the role of Kim Bang-seok, the son of Lee Mi-hyun (Han Hyo-joo and Kim Doo-sik, who has the same superpower as his parents. The other young cast members Go Youn-jung and Kim Do-hoon will play the roles of Jang Hee-soo and Lee Kang-hoon respectively. Similar to Kim Bang-seok, both of them also have superpowers and are hiding them from their parents.

The cast participated in the first script reading last August. The series will be released worldwide through Disney+ in the second half of 2022.
