Seo In-guk (Doom At Your Service), Oh Yeon-seo (Mad For Each Other), Kwak Si-yang (Red Sky), Kang Mi-na (When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon), and Kwon Soo-hyun (Move to Heaven) are all confirmed to star in the upcoming drama “Minamdang: Case Note” (literal translation).
The drama is based on the award-winning web novel “Minamdang: Case Note” by writer Jung Jae-han. It’s a comedy-mystery about a former profiler who became a fraudulent baksumudang (male shaman).
Seo In-guk leads the cast as Nam Han-joon, a former profiler-turned-shaman. Because of his good looks and convincing talking skills, he’s known as one-of-a-kind in the shamanism practice. Through his superb profiling experience, he can accurately perceive what the customers want and give flawless solutions to their problems.
Oh Yeon Seo will be playing the violent crimes division’s team leader Han Jae-hee. Known for her righteous and sincere personality, she can talk blunty to others regardless of status especially when something is wrong.
Kwak Si-yang takes on the role of Gong Soo-chul, who works as Minamdang’s barista during the day and a violent crimes detective at night. He is Nam Han-joon’s loyal friend who will face unexpected events in the story.
Kang Mina will play as Nam Han-joon’s younger sister Nam Hye-joon, who works at the National Intelligence Service. She is an exceptional NIS officer who is carefree and upholds her principles.
Lastly, Kwon Soo-hyun will appear as Cha Do-won of the Western District Prosecutor’s Office. He hails from a well-off family, has a bright and righteous personality but he’s got some sinister tendencies.
The drama will be helmed by director Go Jae-hyun (Dinner Mate, Player) and written by screenwriter Park Hye-jin (Ruler: Master of the Mask).
Minamdang: Case Note is scheduled to air in the first half of next year.
