Yoo Ah-in (Hellbound) and Ahn Eun-jin (The One and Only) have been confirmed to star in the upcoming Netflix original series “Goodbye Earth.” Joining the cast are Jeon Seong-woo (Homemade Love Story) and Kim Yoon-hye (Vincenzo).
Goodbye Earth revolves around an imminent collision between Earth and an asteroid in a span of 200 days and the world falls into chaos and confusion.
Ahn Eun-jin takes on the role of Jin Se-kyung, a middle school teacher who quits her job to volunteer at the Ungcheon City Hall in order to protect children from the asteroid crash.
Yoo Ah-in will play Ha Yoon-sang, Se-kyung’s longtime boyfriend and a researcher at the Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology in the US. He flies back to South Korea upon learning the dangerous situation to be with his girlfriend.
Jeon Seong-woo will portray the character of Woo Sung-jae, an assistant priest at the local Catholic Church. He is left to take care of the parishioners after their head priest ran away following the breaking news.
Kim Yoon-hye will transform into Kang In-ah, a commander of a combat service support battalion. As the city falls to ruins, she leads the relief and rescue operations.
The drama will be directed by Kim Jin-min (Extracurricular, My Name) while the script is written by Jung Sung-joo (Secret Love Affair).
