EXO’s D.O. / Do Kyung-soo (100 Days My Prince) and Lee Se-hee (Young Lady and Gentleman) are confirmed to lead the upcoming KBS drama, True Sword Battle.
The series will revolve around a prosecutor who uses expedient methods in achieving justice against corrupt authorities. Do Kyung-soo will play the lead role of Jin Jung, a prosecutor at the third division of the Central District Prosecutors’ Office. He is described as a devilishly charming man who has a reputation for being unprecedentedly crazy. At the same time, Jin Jung has a deep sense of justice and fights on the side of those who are weak. Lee Se-hee, meanwhile, will be playing the role of Shin Ah Ra, a senior prosecutor in the criminal investigation department of the Central District Prosecutors’ Office. She has a tidy personality and assesses situations objectively. Although she and Jin Jung have different images, Shin Ah-ra will worry for him and protect him more than anyone else.
The 12-episode series will be written by Im Young-bin (Sketch) and will be directed by Kim Sung-ho (Move to Heaven). It is set to premiere in the second half of 2022.
