Park Gyu-young (Dali and the Cocky Prince), Kang Min-hyuk (Oh! Master), Lee Chung-ah (Awaken), Lee Dong-gun (Kiss Sixth Sense), and Jun Hyo-sung (Memorist) have all been cast in Netflix’s upcoming drama “Celebrity” (literal title).
Celebrity portrays the glossy yet fierce life of celebrities, a world where people can make money simply by being famous.
Park Gyu-young will play Seo Ah-ri, a woman whose life is turned upside down as she enters the world of fame. As a comet-like celebrity, she transforms her life in an instant with unconventional moves that set her apart from other influencers.
Kang Min-hyuk will appear as Han Joon-kyung, CEO of Han Cosmetics, Korea’s top cosmetics company. He is uninterested in anything but work, yet he is drawn to Seo Ah-ri’s erratic personality.
Lee Chung-ah will play Yoon Shi-hyun, the elegant daughter of a five-term legislator, the chair of the Haeum Cultural Foundation, and the Taekang legal firm’s daughter-in-law. Everyone admires her, but her world is turned upside down when she meets Seo Ah-ri.
Lee Dong-gun will portray Yoo Shi-hyun’s spouse and Taekang’s representative, Jin Tae-jeon. He will go to any length to attain his objectives, but Seo Ah-ri’s unexpected moves irritate him.
Jun Hyo-sung will take on the role of Oh Min-hye, a former classmate of Seo Ah-ri’s and a rising influencer. She’s become the social media celebrity she’s always wanted to be thanks to the support of prominent people. Oh Min-hye is the one who introduces Seo Ah-ri to the celebrity scene.
