Yoon Kye-sang (Kiss Sixth Sense) is confirmed to lead a new comedy-drama entitled Day of Kidnapping (literal translation).
The series, which is based on a novel of the same name by author Jung Hae-yeon, depicts the story between a first-time kidnapper and a young girl from a rich family and the bond that formed between them while they try to find the truth about a murder case.
Yoon Kye-sang will play the role of Kim Myung-joon, a warmhearted but poor man who decided to kidnap an 11-year-old girl Choi Ro-hee to pay for the operation of his daughter.
Day of Kidnapping will be directed by Park Yoo-young (A Model Family) and will be adapted to screen by writer Kim Je-young (Cheese in the Trap). The dark comedy series is set to air in 2023.
