Kim Hyun-joo (Hellbound), Park Hee-soon (A Model Family), Park Byung-eun (Alchemy of Souls), and Ryu Kyung-soo (Glitch) are all confirmed to star in upcoming Netflix original series The Bequeathed.
The thriller series depicts the story of a woman who becomes involved in a series of ominous events after she inherits a family relative’s gravesite.
Kim Hyun-joo will play the role of Yoon Seo-ha, the woman who inherited a seonsan, a mountain where one’s ancestor’s grave is located, of an uncle whose existence she had forgotten. Park Hee-soon, meanwhile, will take on the role of detective Choi Sung-joon, who suspects that the ominous events occurring in their town is linked to the death of Yeon Seo-ha’s uncle.
Park Byung-eun will become squad chief Park Sang-min, who feels inferior and jealous of junior colleague of Choi Sung-joon. Due to an incident in the past, he holds a grudge against Sung-joon. Ryu Kyung-soo will play the role of Yoon Se-ha’s half-brother, Kim Young-ho.
Yeon Sang-ho (Hellbound 2) participated in the planning and screenplay of the series and will be directed by PD Min Hong-nam.
