Kim Soo-hyun (One Ordinary Day) and Kim Ji-won (My Liberation Notes) will be starring in an upcoming romance drama entitled Queen of Tears (working title).
The series will tell the miraculous love story of a married couple who had to go through a major crisis. Kim Soo-hyun will take on the role of Baek Hyun-woo, a legal director of a conglomerate group. He came from a small village and became the pride of his hometown after becoming successful. He is married to rich heiress Hong Hae-in, which will be played by Kim Ji-won. Her character is described as an “arrogant” chaebol and the “queen” of the Queens Department Store.
The upcoming drama will be the reunion project of Kim Soo-hyun and writer Park Ji-eun (Crash Landing on You), who worked together in My Love from the Stars and The Producers.
The drama is scheduled to start filming in the first half of 2023 and is scheduled to premiere in the second half of the year.
