Bae Suzy (Anna) and Yang Se-jong (My Country: The New Age) will star in the upcoming Netflix romance series, Lee Doo-na! (with the working title The Girl Downstairs).
Based on the webtoon of the same name, the upcoming series is a romance drama about a former K-pop idol member and an ordinary student who met at a share house.
Bae Suzy will take on the titular role of Lee Doo-na, a former main vocalist of a popular idol group who suddenly retires for an unknown reason. She currently stays in a share house near a university. There she would encounter the character of Yang Se-jong, Lee Won-joon, who is an ordinary college student. His character is described as warm and with a pure heart.
The drama adaptation will be directed by PD Lee Jung-hyo (Until the Morning Comes). It is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
